BAI TU LONG BAY - NORTHERN VIETNAM
CRUISE ON QUIET WATERS
Located
east of Halong Bay and close to the Sino-Vietnamese border, Bai Tu Long Bay is
an off-road destination in Northern Vietnam that has recently been in high
demand by international tourists during their trip to Vietnam. With a landscape
similar to Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay offers clearer waters and less touristic
attractions.
Legend of Bai Tu Long Bay
Millions of years ago, when Vietnam was attacked by its invaders, the King of the Sky (Emperor Jade) sent the Dragon Mother and her children to help the Vietnamese. After the defeat of the invaders, the dragons fell in love with the peaceful seascape and decided to stay in the bay. The place where the Dragon Mother descended is now called Halong Bay, while Bai Tu Long Bay is the place of the young dragons.

Kayaking
in the fishing village of Vung Vieng

village is located in the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay and 24 km from the mainland.
In Vung Vieng, you will be immersed in a quiet and peaceful place while
observing the charming landscape and learning more about the local culture of
the fishermen who have lived there for generations. The clear water and quiet

Ang
Du is an attraction off the beaten track and has a decent beach for a good

The
path to Thien Canh Son Cave is already unique because it is located under the
canopy of the forest and a stone cliff. Inside the cave, you will feel
surrounded by an ethereal beauty, through the stalagmites and stalactites. Many
legends and stories about the cave have been told over the years. In addition,
you can't resist taking pictures of these fascinating attractions.
Hiking
in Bai Tu Long National Park
A
thriving forest and marine conservation area, the national park covers 61.25
km2 and an even larger aquatic area of 96.58 km2. It is home to impressive
fauna and flora, including the leopard cat, the Indian muntjac, the small and
large Indian civet.
Some tips during your stay in Bai Tu Long
The weather plays an essential role in planning the right time to visit this bay in Northern Vietnam. The area welcomes passengers all year round, but July-September is often not recommended due to the southern monsoon, which causes unstable weather conditions and storms that interfere with your projects.
The
high season of Bai Tu Long Bay extends from November to April, when the weather
is cooler, drier and more stable. This will give you more freedom to practice
outdoor activities. October and March/April are the ideal period with a
perfectly balanced temperature fluctuation. Plan your trip to Northern vietnam
